Webpage 1 - PLANNING YOUR SITE

The guys at PK Image have messed up!! They have fallen out with the people who made their website! They need you to build just a simple website to advertise their company. You can even put your Flash animation on the website if you want!

It needs to be a site with plenty of text, images, animation etc. and should have a consistent style

Watch the video to learn about the type of website the guys at PK Image are looking for! Get some ideas from the website you are shown. Jot down on paper some of your own ideas while watching.

1. Write in WORD the intended audience of your website and HOW you are going to make the website appealing to that audience?

2. Write in the same WORD document the intended purpose of the website and HOW you are going to make the website meet that intended purpose?

3. Write in the same WORD document how many pages your web site will have (minimum FIVE) and what each page will cover?

4. USE THE WRITING FRAME IF YOU NEED IT.

MERIT/DISTINCTION?? - Use a detailed colour/layout scheme you have made, talk about multimedia you are going to use, plenty of detail

4. SAVE and PRINT your work with your name on it for your folder!

1. Draw in paint or on paper the structure of the files and folders needed for your website.

2. It is always a good idea to keep all your images and multimedia in one separate folder, show this.

3. Show how your pages will link to one another by drawing lines between them. Think about how quickly it would take to click from one section to another.

MERIT/DISTINCTION?? - Show more than one way to link pages (images/hotspots/flash buttons etc), show good navigation.

4. PRINT OUT your work with your name on it for your folder.

1. Draw in paint or on paper HOW each of your pages will look.

2. Talk about colour scheme/font/images/graphics etc. (YOUR STYLE!)

3. Talk about the content/topics of each web page.

MERIT/DISTINCTION?? - Show a detailed plan of a style you have made up and make sure you use the plan when you start making your webpages..

4. PRINT OUT your work with your name on it for your folder.

• TASK 4 - Plan of your webpage and how they will look
