What should I write about?

  • Loading times - Does it take a while to load up?
  • Interaction - Is their feedback to where the user puts their mouse pointer?
  • Colours - Do you think the colour scheme is appropriate for the audience?
  • Text - Do you think the font/colour/size of the text is audience appropriate?
  • Images - Do you think the images are appropriate for the audience?
  • Video - Does the site use video? Does it slow the site down? Is it appropriate?
  • Compatible - Does the animation type need a plug-in for the computer to view it? Flash does, Shockwave does, GIF doesn't!
  • Internet speed -Is the site "media-heavy"? Will it require a fast Internet connection? Does the site offer a choice for users with a slow connection?

What to hand in
  • EV A1 - Test table filled in for at least TWO websites. It should list the good and the bad features of each animation.
